For 10 players you need 250 chips for a $20 cash game (10 stacks of 25), plus about 20 green chips for rebuys. A 10,000-chip tournament needs 280 chips (10 stacks of 28). A 500-chip set covers it. Ten players fill a standard table; a 500-chip set covers the starting stacks with room for rebuys.
