"Not listed" means neither the store listing nor the app's website mentioned it on Oct 19, 2026. Prices change often, so the table shows how each app charges.
Ratings won't decide it yet: Apple showed too few to score 5 of these apps, and ChipUp, PokerSquad and HG Poker had 3 to 8 ratings each. HPTM's Android app has 4.2 stars from 95 Google Play ratings.
Which home poker app fits your game
HG Poker: Home Game Tracker (ours) runs the night from the host's phone on iPhone or Android: players added by name without accounts, buy-ins and rebuys logged as they happen, a chip-count check that flags differences, suggested payments, and a recap for the group chat. Tournaments add blind levels, late registration, eliminations, prize pools and a TV room display, and all-time standings carry across nights. The same account also runs in a browser on a laptop or iPad and works with Claude and ChatGPT as a custom connector.
PartyPot replaces physical chips. Everyone joins by QR code, and bets, pots and rebuys move as digital chips between phones. It also scores Big Two, Mahjong and rummy, so it suits a mixed game night or a group without a chip set.
ChipUp tracks cash games on iPhone and Android, with private groups, combined balances across games, expense tracking and scheduling.
Tilt is built for cash games. Players join with a 6-letter code, request rebuys from their seat for the host to approve, and compete on a monthly group leaderboard. It sells game tickets instead of a subscription.
PokerPot (the iPhone app; a different developer's Android app shares the name) needs only one phone at the table. Its settle-up can split a chip shortfall and divide room fees or food.
PokerSquad is free for unlimited games with up to 5 players, works offline and keeps games on your device. Pro adds unlimited players and cloud sync.
Pokertally added tournaments in October, with a blind clock that rings even when your phone is locked. Everyone in the game sees the same numbers, and players join free while the host subscribes.
HPTM (Home Poker Tournament Manager) is tournament-only: on-screen blind levels with voiced announcements, automatic seating, payouts and mirrored screens. It doesn't list a who-owes-whom settle-up.
Test any app with the same 6-player night
Enter this night into each app you try: 6 players buy in for $20, Ben and Dev each rebuy once, so $160 goes in and the chips must count to $160.

A good settle-up needs only 4 payments, for example: Ben pays Alex $35 and Eli $5, Dev pays Eli $15, and Fran pays Cara $12. If an app's totals don't return to $0, keep looking. How to settle up a home poker game walks through the math.
How to choose a home poker app
- Who logs the game? PartyPot needs every player in the room, PokerPot needs one phone, and HG Poker and Tilt work either way.
- Real chips or digital? No chip set? PartyPot is the digital option.
- Cash, tournaments or both? Tournament nights need a clock and payouts.
- Which phones? As of Oct 19, 2026, PokerPot, PokerSquad and Pokertally are Apple-only.
- History. For a season or league, check that standings carry across nights.
- Who pays? Subscription, game tickets, one-time purchase or ads; host only, or everyone.
- Run the test night above and make sure it settles to $0.
Host's note: I built HG Poker for our own home game, so read this page with that in mind. Our problem was never trust, it was memory: at 1 in the morning we'd count up and come out a buy-in short, and nobody's stopping at an ATM for a $0.25/$0.50 game. Whichever app you pick, the fix is one person logging every buy-in and rebuy the moment it happens.
This walkthrough follows one Friday game in HG Poker from setup to settle-up, including the seat draw, rebuys, chip count, standings and tournament mode.Frequently asked questions
What is the best app to track home poker games? It depends on your game. HG Poker, ChipUp and Tilt suit one host logging real chips on iPhone or Android, PartyPot replaces chips with everyone's phones, and HPTM is tournament-only.
Is there a free app to track poker buy-ins? Yes. PokerSquad is free for up to 5 players, ChipUp and PokerPot have free tiers, PartyPot is free with ads, and HG Poker is free to try; most charge for unlimited hosting or extra features.
Do poker settle-up apps send the money for you? None of the 8 apps we checked lists a way to send money between players. They show who pays whom, and your group pays with cash, Venmo or Zelle outside the app.
What is a good PartyPot alternative? PartyPot is built around digital chips on every player's phone. If your group plays with real chips and one person logs the buy-ins, look at HG Poker, ChipUp, Tilt, PokerPot, PokerSquad or Pokertally.
Check any app's math with the free poker settlement calculator. HG Poker logs every buy-in and rebuy during the game and shows who owes whom at the end; it doesn't hold or move money, so your group pays each other outside the app. Download on the App Store · Get it on Google Play
